This series is primarily of genetic disorders.  I believe there is a great deal of chance and risk inherent in the creation of each life.  The ability to attach an image to these uncertainties gives us a symbol to fight against.  Science has given us a glimpse into the world of chromosomes and the genome with the invention of banding and other photographic techniques.  These paintings incorporate that world:  the beauty of nature that science struggles to understand.
